The American Legion Student Trooper Program, in cooperation with the Michigan State Police.

Two 5-day programs at the Michigan State Police Training Academy on Canal Road , Lansing , MI . For high school 10th, 11th and 12 grade males and females age 16 to 18 in good physical condition with an interest in law enforcement.

Each session will award a top collage scholarship of $1000.00 and three scholarships of $500.00

A great career start. Successfully completing this course impresses colleges and helps with many careers.

Choose which of two programs fits student’s summer schedule.
June 27 to July 2, 2010 (application deadline May 3rd).
August 22 to 27, 2010 (application deadline June 15th).

A $300 sponsorship fee that you can seek from any American Legion Post, any Civic Organization, or obtain from private funds gives you the chance for the ultimate police officer reality experience, a chance for unconditional $500 - $1,000 higher education scholarships, and covers all meals and lodging at the Michigan State Police Training Academy Lansing, Michigan.
